Bangalore Programme
Christ University (Bangalore, India) and HAN University of Applied Sciences (Arnhem & Nijmegen, the Netherlands) have been working together since 2011 to promote cultural exchange and new learning opportunities for students of both universities. This resulted in an exchange programme aimed at developing and maintaining sustainable development projects in the LR Nagar slum of Bangalore.
Each year an average of 9 HAN students travel to Bangalore to take part in this programme as part of a minor, internship or graduation assignment. They are assisted in their endeavours by Christ Unversity's Centre for Social Action (CSA) which has a lot of experience in setting up community development projects. The programme has done well from the beginning and both partners are happy with its growth.
