Transport
The rickshaw is probably one of the most iconic ways of transportation in
India. They are a good way of transportation if you have an address or landmark for them to go. You can also show them your phone if you have Google maps. The downside is that rickshaw driver’s sometimes try to get a too high price for a drive because they know you are western. It is part of the experience to bargain with rickshaw drivers about the price you have to pay. You should pay something around the following amounts for different destinations when you leave from the apartment.
* Christ University: 60 INR
* LR Nagar (Passport office): 30 INR
* Commercial street: 100 INR
* MG road: 80 INR
It is important to keep in mind that their start fair is 25 IND for the first 2km and then 13 INR for each extra kilometre. After 10 pm 50% is added tot the metered rate.

Ola
The ola app cab is a very simple way to book a taxi. A great bonus of the Ola application is the fact that you can also book an auto rickshaw. The app saves you the hassle of bargaining. You also don’t have to give your driver directions since you have to plot your destination in the application on forehand. You need an Indian number in order to be able to use this app.
Uber
This is the world’s most famous taxi app, similar to Ola. When you want a cab, instead of a rickshaw, Uber is your answer since it tends to be cheaper than an Ola cab. Another handy feature of this app is the fact that you can book a big cab (6 people as well).
