India is a country with a lot of different climate zones, these vary from a tropical climate in the south, to a medium climate in the north. The biggest part of India also has to deal with the Monsoon climate, which consists out of three seasons.

The cool season from October to February, the hot season from march to June, and the rain season from mid June to September. In Delhi the amount of water that falls down from the sky is approximately 640 mm a year. In the southwestern and northeastern part of the country the rain is a lot more. Besides this, India knows a few deserts, and the contrast is quite high. In these deserts the rainfall a year will not get any higher than 50 mm a year.
